For over two decades, Derek has given his life to serving, leading, and pastoring in the local church — from church janitor to student pastor, missionary, and creative pastor. No matter the role, he endeavors to grow healthy leaders equipped to lead the next generation of the global church.
Husband & Father
In 2012, Derek married his highschool sweetheart, Nikki. After five years of infertility, God gifted them a miracle in their son, Silas. Together they love to travel, enjoy tasty food, and laugh loud, hard, and often.

Derek has a passion for the underdog, the church planter, the one with church hurt, the overlooked, and the courageous entrepreneur. He believes hope and encouragement are available to everyone.
